Problem
Commercial fishermen lacked a centralized, fast, and mobile-friendly system to access critical weather, tide, and harvest data while at sea on low-bandwidth connections.
Approach
Engineered an aggressively minimal, text-first progressive web app (PWA) designed specifically for satellite and edge-of-network marine connectivity.
Execution
Developed a custom API aggregator that polls NOAA, ADF&G, and localized sensors. The frontend caches data aggressively via Service Workers for offline access.
Outcome
Became a critical daily operational tool for the Bristol Bay and Cook Inlet commercial fleets, ensuring safety and operational efficiency.
